The Life of the Little Bear
The Life of the Little Bear is an educational game focused on the life of bears and their relationship with humans. It was implemented on behalf of the environmental NGO Kallisto.
Our story begins when our protagonist, a little female bear, is separated from her mother while attempting to cross a highway. The little bear must survive alone in the forest, beginning a great adventure to reunite with her mother. During her trip, she will learn how to overcome hunger and tiredness, how to protect herself from the weather, while she will also get in contact with human settlements and roads. Will she survive, or will she be beaten by the odds?
The game puts the player in the role of the little bear, offering a fresh first-person insight into the difficulties faced by large carnivores and the fear and suspiciousness that humans show when dealing with bears. The aim of the application is to bring the player in contact with the bear world and the way of life of large mammals that are in ever increasing danger.
The story of the game was developed in common by the environmentalist Fani Arabatzidou and Point Blank. The illustration was designed by Chickenworks. Leonidas Palaskas oversaw the sound production, while the game music was composed by Fotis Anastasiadis. Point Blank was responsible for the interaction design and the technical realization.Visit Website - http://callisto.gr/arkoudi/index.html
