Noowit

A fresh news platform that learns to read you!

Noowit goes beyond a digital magazine: it is an application that aims to change the way we consume information on the internet. It combines content from various sources, that it then filters and edits according to the interests and preferences of each user, using cutting edge artificial intelligence algorithms. The filtered content is then presented as a personalized magazine that constantlly updates with new content fitting the interests of the user.

Point Blank was put in charge of the interactive visual design and user experience of the application. The main design challenge involved the creation of a magazine that reacts "intelligently" to what is the quintessence of the application, personalized information. The visual design aims to attract users' attention, organizing the multi-faceted infromational content intelligently and elegantly.

The design principles of Noowit are based on a minimalist design with an emphasis on image and typography, simplifying the application presentation and making it easy to navigate to the content that matters the most. In conjunction with the application core (adaptive, personalized information filtering), the application design visualizes the hierarchy and importance of each article by using surface area and typography appropriately. The application layout is based on traditional magazine styles, utilizing familiarity to achieve its goals.  Similarly, the articles pagination eases the passage from traditional to digital news outlets.
